ProductLife Group is looking for a skilled Systems and Network Engineer (L3)

The mission of this role is to ensure the smooth, secure, and efficient operation of an organization’s IT infrastructure. This role involves maintaining system integrity, availability, and security, supporting end-users, and optimizing IT operations through technical expertise, problem-solving, and effective communication.

Main Responsibilities

Infrastructure Maintenance:

  • Ensure the continuous operation of servers, networks, and other critical IT systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system optimizations.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to prevent downtime.

Security Management:

  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization’s data and IT assets.
  • Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations

IT Support:

  • Provide technical support to IT Department, Business and end-users addressing hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems reported by users, escalating more complex issues when necessary.
  • Conduct user training to enhance IT literacy and promote best practices.

Data Backup and Recovery:

  • Develop and implement data backup strategies to safeguard against data loss.
  • Establish and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in the event of system failures or disasters.
  • Regularly test backup and recovery procedures to ensure their effectiveness.

System Upgrades and Enhancements:

  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to plan and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that can improve efficiency and performance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to keep systems up-to-date.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to other IT team members.
  • Use documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and training within the IT department.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT support, security, and management, to address organizational needs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to IT management.
  • Participate in strategic planning to align IT infrastructure with the organization’s goals.

Required education:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.

Required experience:

+6 years

Required technical skills:

• Operating Systems: Deep knowledge of Windows, Linux, server environments.
• Virtualization: Expertise in virtualization technologies VMware & Hyper-V.
• Cloud Computing: Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
• Networking: Advanced understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
• Automation & Scripting: Skills in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python to automate tasks.
• Storage Management: Experience with SAN/NAS, RAID configurations, and backup solutions.
• Database Management: Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, and database clustering/replication techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Thoroughness in performing tasks and attention to detail to ensure accuracy
• Analytical mindset to understand complex technical issues and find practical solutions
• A customer oriented approach when dealing with end-users and providing support
• Efficient time management to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
